Privacy Policy

We collect the following categories of information:

• Information you provide. When you submit a form on the Site (for example, to request our research guide), we collect your name and email address.
• Automatically collected information. When you access the Site we, and our service providers, may collect your IP address, browser type, device information, referring pages, and pages viewed. We use Cloudflare Turnstile to distinguish humans from automated bots, which processes your IP address and limited interaction signals for security purposes.
• Cookies and tracking technologies. We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Site, measure advertising, and understand how visitors interact with our pages. See “Cookies, Advertising & Conversion Measurement” below.

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the Site and its content;
• Send you the materials you request and, where you have agreed, marketing and informational emails about Modern Bio (you can unsubscribe at any time);
• Measure, attribute, and optimize our advertising — including ads served on Meta platforms (Facebook and Instagram) — and to show you relevant ads;
• Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and automated bot activity; and
• Comply with our legal obligations and enforce our terms.

We advertise on Meta platforms (Facebook and Instagram). We do notuse the Meta Pixel or any other third-party advertising tracker in your browser. Instead, we measure our advertising using Meta’s Conversions API, which works differently and is described below.

When you arrive from one of our ads, we record the click identifier Meta adds to the link and store it in a cookie on your device. If you later take an action we measure — such as requesting our guide or placing an order — our servers send Meta a record of that action, together with the click identifier and technical data such as your IP address and browser user agent, so that Meta can attribute the action to the ad you saw.

Where you have given us information such as your email address, phone number, name, or shipping city, state, postal code, and country, that information is cryptographically hashed before it is transmitted — we do not send Meta your raw contact details. Meta uses these hashed values to match the action to a Meta account, and may use the result to measure our ads, build audiences, and show you advertising. We never send Meta the names of the specific products you view or purchase.

You can control this in several ways:

• Adjust your ad preferences in your Meta account settings at facebook.com/adpreferences;
• Opt out of interest-based advertising through the Digital Advertising Alliance and the Network Advertising Initiative;
• Block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Please note that because this measurement happens on our servers rather than in your browser, blocking cookies limits but does not by itself prevent us from sharing conversion data with Meta; and
• Email us at contact@modernpeps.bio to ask us to stop sharing your information with our advertising partners, or to request its deletion.

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with:

• Service providers who perform functions on our behalf, including Cloudflare (bot protection and infrastructure), our email and hosting providers, and analytics vendors;
• Advertising partners such as Meta Platforms, Inc., for ad measurement and delivery as described above;
• Legal and safety recipients when required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Modern Bio, our users, or others; and
• A successor entity in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

We retain personal information for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy — for example, to maintain your email subscription — and as required to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion at any time (see “Your Privacy Rights”).

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to opt out of marketing communications, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for targeted advertising. Residents of California (under the CCPA/CPRA) and individuals in the European Economic Area and United Kingdom (under the GDPR/UK GDPR) have these and additional rights, including the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising them.

The Site is intended only for individuals who are 21 years of age or older. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 21. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

All materials referenced on the Site are intended strictly for laboratory and research use and are not for human or veterinary consumption. They are not approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. See our Terms & Conditions for more information.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be posted on this page, and your continued use of the Site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
